About Chris Eaton

I am an Enterprise Architect employed by one of the worlds five largest companies leading the effort to deliver the methods and tools to deliver strategic architectures in a standard way  across the entire enterprise. I have business experience in Energy, manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, Human Resources and high-tech industries through twelve years experience at IBM.

The views in this blog are expressly my own and not those of my employer.

Interests

In the recent past I have worked as Chief Architect on large SAP and SAAS implementations. I remain very interested in these areas and have written SAAS selection methodology for IBM. My most recent SAP project was as Chief Architect of a project delivering SAP HR, Payroll, Organisation Management and Time Management to an NYSE top 20 company with over 380000 employees in 70 countries.

I have a strong belief in industry qualifications and hold the following certifications:

  • Open Group IT Architect Level 2 (ITAC Master Architect)
  • TOGAF 8 and 9
  • Member of the IET (MIET) with Chartered Engineer status (CENG)
  • Member of the British Computing Society (MBCS) and Certified IT Practitioner (CITP)
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.
  • SUN Certified J2EE Enterprise Architect (SCEA)
  • Internal IBM Certification as a Senior IT Architect and Project Manager
  • BSc Honors degree in Computing and Informatics (Computing and Business)
